Thank you for choosing ContentForge. This Refund and Cancellation Policy explains how cancellations, refunds, and billing adjustments are handled for our subscription services.
1. Subscription Overview
ContentForge offers subscription-based access to our platform with the following billing options:
- Monthly Subscriptions: Billed on the same date each month
- Annual Subscriptions: Billed once per year (when available)
All subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled.
2. Free Trial (If Applicable)
If we offer a free trial:
- No payment is required during the trial period
- You may cancel at any time during the trial without charge
- If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will begin and your payment method will be charged
- Trial availability and duration may vary
3. Cancellation Policy
3.1 How to Cancel
You may cancel your subscription at any time by:
- Visiting your Account Settings and selecting "Cancel Subscription"

3.2 When Cancellation Takes Effect
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period
- You will retain access to the Platform until your paid period expires
- No partial refunds are provided for unused time within a billing period
3.3 What Happens After Cancellation
- Your access to premium features will end when your subscription expires
- Your account data will be retained for 90 days, allowing you to reactivate
- After 90 days, your data may be permanently deleted
- You may reactivate your subscription at any time during the retention period
4. Refund Policy
4.1 General Policy
All subscription fees are generally non-refundable. When you subscribe, you are purchasing access to the Platform for the billing period, and we incur costs to provide that access.
4.2 Exceptions — When We May Issue Refunds
We may consider refunds in the following circumstances:
Technical Issues -
If a significant, unresolved technical issue prevents you from using core Platform features for an extended period, we may provide a prorated refund or service credit
Billing Errors -
If you were charged incorrectly (duplicate charge, wrong amount), we will correct the error and refund any overcharge
First-Time Subscribers -
If you are a first-time subscriber and request a refund within 7 days of your initial purchase due to dissatisfaction, we may issue a full refund at our discretion
Annual Plan Early Termination -
Annual subscribers who need to cancel early may be eligible for a prorated refund minus any discounts received, at our discretion
4.3 Refund Request Process
To request a refund:

- Include your account email and reason for the request
- Provide any relevant details (e.g., technical issues experienced)
- We will review your request and respond within 5 business days
4.4 Refund Decisions
All refund decisions are made at our sole discretion. Refunds are not guaranteed except in cases of billing errors.
4.5 How Refunds Are Processed
- Approved refunds will be credited to your original payment method
- Refunds typically take 5-10 business days to appear, depending on your bank
- We will notify you via email when a refund has been processed
5. Plan Changes
5.1 Upgrading Your Plan
- Upgrades take effect immediately
- You will be charged the prorated difference for the remainder of your current billing period
- Your next billing date remains the same
5.2 Downgrading Your Plan
- Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing period
- You retain access to your current plan's features until then
- No refunds or credits are provided for the difference in plan pricing
5.3 Switching Billing Cycles
If you switch from monthly to annual billing (or vice versa):
- The change takes effect at the end of your current billing period
- No refunds are provided for the current period
6. Failed Payments
6.1 Payment Failures
If a payment fails:
- We will attempt to process the payment again
- You will receive email notifications about the failed payment
- You will have a grace period (typically 7 days) to update your payment information
6.2 Account Suspension
If payment is not received within the grace period:
- Your account may be suspended
- Access to the Platform will be restricted
- Your data will be retained for 30 days
- Service will be restored once payment is successfully processed
7. Chargebacks
If you dispute a charge with your bank or credit card company (chargeback) without first contacting us:
- Your account may be immediately suspended
- We reserve the right to terminate your account
- We may pursue collection of any amounts owed

8. Credits and Promotional Offers
8.1 Service Credits
We may offer service credits (additional subscription time) instead of cash refunds in certain situations. Service credits:

- Cannot be transferred or sold
- Expire if your account is terminated
- Are applied to your next billing cycle
8.2 Promotional Pricing
If you subscribed using a promotional offer or discount:
- Refunds (if approved) may be adjusted to reflect the promotional rate
- Promotional pricing may have different terms, which will be disclosed at signup
9. Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right to modify this Refund and Cancellation Policy at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Material changes will be communicated to active subscribers via email.
